850-2,400 sq ft of neighborhood retail space
We are looking to partner with energetic retail tenants that are eager to participate in the neighborhood’s revival and understand its strong untapped market potential. Other tenants include a 450-seat banquet facility run by Classic Events, a 130-seat theatre for non-profit performance art’s group Second Generation Theatre Company, a cafe run by Public Espresso, and 21 high-end apartments. The $8.5 million redevelopment project will be opening its doors in Summer 2018.
The historic Shea’s Seneca building is located at the heart of the Seneca Street commercial corridor. Originally constructed in 1929 by Michael Shea (who also built Shea’s Buffalo and North Park Theater), the building is a defining South Buffalo landmark and has long served as a central social and economic hub of the community. The property is ideally located steps from Cazenovia Park and down the street from Mercy Hospital and Trocaire College. The surrounding neighborhood is well-established, densely populated, and witnessing the beginnings of a momentous resurgence.
